The "Clamming for Pearls" update changes the structure of the Proof-Of-Stake Reward in the CLAMS network to what we like to call Proof-of-Pearl. Proof-Of-Pearl is designed to inject competition into the stake structure of the network. The block reward will now be variable and not based on the size of the staking output. This rewards users who consistently participate in the network; adding security and making the block time more consistent for other users of the Network."
