Faster network can effect bitminer performance. Here are a few tips.

cgminer "stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted" issue

cgminer "stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted" issue: "The fork of my miner uses the original stratum code I wrote for cgminer which used libcurl to set up the stratum socket connection. When this problem originally occurred, it would crash in libcurl. After tons of debugging I had so many crashes due to libcurl bugs that I decided to abandon using libcurl and just use raw socket code for all stratum code. That fixed the crashes (on both linux and windows) but on windows for some reason a socket just hangs up and never returns without any meaningful failure that should normally happen instead. That's why this bug manifests in two different ways. Older versions of cgminer would also crash during this interruption if you read back through this thread.  However so many other crashes were fixed by abandoning libcurl that it was worth it. It's worth noting that improvements to this code keep going in and as recently as 3.3.2 another stratum disconnect issue was fixed, so if you're on an older version I highly recommend upgrading to 3.3.4 (the latest)."

cgminer "stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted" issue

cgminer "stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted" issue: "My final answer (for windows) is using CGWatcher:  http://manotechnology.blogspot.com/p/cgwatcher.html

CGWatcher coupled with failover configurations in cgminer, will handle stratum disconnections, sick cards, drivers restarting, shares not being submitted, mhs decreases, and more.  Configure windows to start cgwatcher on startup, save cgminer settings to default conf, configure cgwatcher to start cgminer automatically when cgwatcher starts, check all montior boxes (except restart based on hours, and except start/stop by schedule, and let 'er rip.  "

Do I have enough money to invest in bitcoin?

I feel I'm techy enough to use hardware to make bitcoin.

I shop for the best dollar to giga hash ratio. There are a lot of factors to consider in order to maximize your profit.

One factor that was hard to verify was the time it would take to get my new Bitcoin churning device. Time to ship and time of arival. I though that since the company I chose was located in Texas, this would be preferable to the company located in California. Because it would take less time to arrive to me.

Time is money in the bitcoin world. The more computational power used to create bitcoin the harder and longer the process takes when you don't change your hardware setup. Its a race for getting the newest more powerful problem solving hardware and getting it set up to in time to pay for itself before it becomes obsolete. The increase in the number of people and the quick advance in tech that is being rushed out to market makes this operation risky.

The company I picked in Texas was a mistake. They aren't even going to even ship it too me for a week and even then i will have to wait for the item to arrive. Obviously this person has no idea how the bitcoin world world. He is just doing commerce on the web. I will make this point on the Amazon rating system you can believe me on that.

On top of that I am the kinda of guy that does not like to have electronics sitting around that works perfectly well and cost me a great deal of money and is obsolete. I don't like throwing away a perfectly healthy baby.

In this case I believe I would sell the device to an entry level hobbyist who would like to get into the bitcoin game, on the cheap,  before the device becomes completely useless.

This would be my solution.

After all, these new products being used to create bitcoin can do nothing else.

I went to a Cloud Mining service. Its kind of a stock exchange in GigaHash power you can use to make bitcoin. It's a company in the top ten of bitcoin companies. I considered using there services as an alternative to having as they say in the bitcoin world, "Metal on Shelf".

Then I talked the the people at this service. I asked how anyone can make money in this service with all the fees that they have. They have a fee for wiping your own butt. One guy told me, "if you aren't going to buy big and and sell big, get out". Rude! The chat box their is filled with unhappy people who buy big sell big and seem to hate every minute of it.  Its like being in Alice's Wonderland. People are unhappy, make no sense and they have nothing better to do than make the new arrival feel uncomfortable.

Out of the rabbit hole and into a similar service provider. Bit Coin Cloud Solutions . Here you can buy Giga Hash at half the price it is offered for at the previous company mentioned. It's a pleasant experience.

I will warn you though they are new. And remember this is an Investment. There are no guarantees in life. I can say though that this is where I put my 60 dollars. I bought 31 Giga Hash for 5 years with that. If everything looks good after about a week I will invest more.

I calculate a return on investment in about 6 months. Remember this is my best guest and I am not an Investment advisory so invest at your own risk and try not to invest what you can't afford to loose.

I love the fact that there are no hidden fees. This lowers the risk for me and after 5 years I can walk away from the investment.

So what do you think? Do you have enough money to INVEST in bitcoin?

Let me know in the comments below and feel free to present any questions you might have and I will get to those comments as quickly as I can.

Does age effect people's interest in participation in bitcoin.

My dad always said he was too old to learn how to use the computer.

That's funny because my aunt Mary  Kay is older and she is a pro. She is constantly taking her home videos and turns them into DVD's and sends them to her family to watch.

Bit-Coin is not the easiest currency to work with. We mostly get paid in dollars. We take those dollars and buy necessaries with them. But what about when you want something that is not easily to buy with the dollar.

More and more people today are making purchases online.

  1. Movie streaming
  2. Investments
  3. Shopping
  • Amazon
  • Ebay
  • Itunes
How are we making those purchase?

60's Technology

The Credit Card.

Its like trying to place a square peg in a round hole

We make transfers, pay fees. Maybe the credit card you are using isn't even accepted.

Maybe your Debit card with a credit card logo on it isn't accepted.

Then you have fraud. People using your information to make purchases for themselves and billing you.

Its all a huge hassle

Also the advent to the World Wide Web is allowing the average man on the street place the things he or she wants to sell on a World Wide Market.  Even more problems with money conversion and transfers have to take place.

Or

You can use Bit-Coin. I have my own bitcoin ecosystem going. I get involved in investments like Bit-Coin cloud services. I create my own bit coin and play games which have bitcoin payouts. Then I either take my earnings and shop or I use it to reinvest.

I don't have to transfer from service to service and I don't have to do any currency conversions.

On top of that many established companies are starting to accept bitcoin. Dish Network just started to do this recently.

Do you think your age is a huge factor as to whether or not you will get involved in bitcoin? Tell me what you think in the comments bellow. I will read them and respond as quickly as I can.

Trying a new service. It started in March .0034 price per Giga Hash

The website :

Bit-Coin Cloud Services

does have some credentials in the bitcoin community. I took a risk and spent 60 dollars or .1054 bitcoin on a staggering 31 gigahash for five years. My 75 dollar 32 gigahash RockMiner R-BOX isn't even going to be mailed out till the 30th and it has no power supply.  My cloud miner is up and running as soon as the bitcoin transfer was made and supposed to provide a daily payout, hehe. I will let you know.

What I can say is I spent a great deal of time looking for something bad about them. Believe me, when the bitcoin community gets the shaft they scream loud and they do it harshly. As soon as I completed the purchase I got a phone call from them stating that I forgot to provide them with a bitcoin payout address. This is at about 12am British time. I emailed them the address so they can send me my payouts. In an instant the information on my account was updated with my bitcoin address:

172hR2uFyzcyqaXvzqv3bZZTLFb8vXrc77

Feel free to send bitcoin to it, Heh. Anyways I'm supposed to get  a daily payout. I will let you know how that goes.

How do you make your bitcoin?

Answer this question and ask your questions in the comments below. I will answer your questions about Bit-Coin Cloud Services as quickly as I can. Also let me know if you have a better deal that this. I am always looking for the best and when I find something better I will let everyone know.
